He makes a lot of good points. Maybe he handled it wrong, but desperate people do desperate things. I expect more of these type of actions as there are a LOT of desperate people....

You're right. I'm reminded of Michael Douglas in Falling Down. Terrible, of course.
When I read about murder suicides and entire families dying I think how desperate times are. It's so incredibly sad. I'm also reminded of all the stories my parents told me about the depression. I think it was easier for my folks because entire families pulled together...even the children...to help....and expectations were simple. My mom was thrilled with an orange and some candy for Christmas.
By the way you should look into puppy transport from Denver to NY. I know dogs go here and there all the time. And...look for friends who might be traveling. I haven't heard back yet from that one family.
Mike,I thought of the exact same movie when I heard this. Falling Down was something I could relate to at certain times in my life. Liked the movie a lot and still watch every time it's on.
